Work is under way for the next version. It has not been published.
A new version leaves traces long before it is published. We look for them in four places, from most to least certain, and show every result, including the empty ones.

libphonenumber-js usually ships every 14 days. 1.13.15 came out 26 days ago, which is longer than usual. By the usual pattern it would have come out between 21 Oct 2026 and 22 Oct 2026, so it is overdue. (Based on the middle half of the last 12 gaps: 13 to 14 days.) This is a pattern in past releases, not a promise.
The libphonenumber-js changelog starts with the maintainer's own working notes. They are ideas and reminders, not a release plan, and some are old. We show them because they are the only first-hand hint of what may change in a future major version.
parsePhoneNumberFromString(): extract: false is now the default mode: non-phone-number characters aren't now trimmed on the left and on the right sides of a phone number. For example, (213) 373-4253 is parsed as a valid phone number, but Call: (213) 373-4253 is not, because Call: doesn't automatically get trimmed now. For the old behavior, pass extract: true option.metadata.full.json -> metadata.max.json.findPhoneNumbersInText() to its own subpackage: libphonenumber-js/find. The default export is searchPhoneNumbersInText() that returns an ES6 "iterator".parsePhoneNumber.js -> parsePhoneNumberWithError.js, etc.libphonenumber-metadata.metadata.json is now included in the package. From the CHANGELOG.md published inside the npm package. 6 more notes are in the file.
The tracker reads the npm registry and the repository on a schedule and saves what it finds. This page is rebuilt from that saved data, so nothing here is typed by hand. When a source names the next version, that version gets its own page and this address points to it until the release. The current stable version is always on the main libphonenumber-js page.
